Rooney covers the January 2012 issue of  Allure Magazine (on newsstands December 20th), she talks about her upcoming film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in the interview. On shooting the much-awaited film “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”:
“Nudity is such a huge part of the character in the book, so I never thought twice about it. There was no time for hesitation. I didn’t have time to second-guess anything or be scared; I just showed up and was comfortable….People always ask, ‘Were you crying when they cut your hair?’ And it didn’t freak me out at all. I was really happy to do it.”

To play Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Mara got multiple piercings on her face and body. Makeup artist Kate Lee battled to cover the hole left by Mara’s eyebrow stud for her Allure shoot. Head on over to Allure to see the other highlights from Rooney’s interview.

Rooney Mara graces the cover of Dazed & Confused’s January issue, out next week.

The 26-year-old actress posed for photographer Glen Luchford and opened up to the mag about playing Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, saying she’s “always been drawn to darkness.”

Rooney and co-star Daniel Craig are giving fans the chance to bid on two tickets to the Dragon Tattoo premiere held December 14 at NYC’s Ziegfeld Theater!

Head on over to eBay.com ASAP – the auction ends tomorrow, Sunday December 11, at 4 p.m. PST.

All proceeds from the winning bid will benefit Make It Right, which helps build sustainable homes for Hurricane Katrina victims in New Orleans and teens transitioning out of foster care in Newark and Kansas City.

According to Fashionista.com they have heard from two very reliable sources that Rooney will cover Vogue’s November issue. Her cover is obviously timed to her breakout star-making turn as Lisbeth Salander in the hotly anticipated US version of Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, out December 21. But if you were looking for more evidence that Mara was in with Vogue, look no further than the front row at Rodarte‘s spring show, where Mara, with her black close cropped Lisbeth-hair, sat next to Anna Wintour.

Very excited that Rooney may be Vogue’s next cover girl choice!
